I am standing in a large hall filled with beautiful people dancing, talking, and enjoying themselves. And here we are: my Creative Bites are being displayed on a huge screen, and people are taking pictures. ‘AI meets Human Intelligence’ in the The Dolder Grand in Zurich with Mara Vergani, Annika Kessel, Sandra-Stella Triebl and many more is remarkable and I am stunned by this moment… because…

When I started writing this newsletter in April last year, amidst a personal and health crisis, I never imagined it being showcased anywhere. I did it because writing and creating digital images was my safe haven for expression and an important part of my healing process. Over the months, I learned that many of my readers also struggled with long COVID or faced other challenging situations. I thought about all of you while writing my Creative Bites, a place of imagination and co-creation. Although I loved writing, creating visuals was a new adventure. I began experimenting with various AI tools and eventually settled on Midjourney. Creative Bite after Creative Bite, I experimented, crafted, deleted countless files, and persisted in making things happen… which, in life and business, is often the best recipe for success.

So today, it’s about experimentation, co-creation, and my personal definition of success.

Over the last few years, I’ve co-created many experiments; some failed epically, while others were a huge success. Each was a playground for my imagination and a testament to my deep belief that we all, individually and collectively, can positively impact our lives and those of others. It’s up to us to make both small and big changes.

My perspective on success and failure has dramatically changed over the years. I don’t believe that failure truly exists. Someone once said that failure is the first attempt at learning – this applies to experiments and successes alike. However, when it comes to success, it’s more important than ever for us to define what success truly means personally. Here’s my favorite definition:

Success for me signifies harmony among my thoughts, emotions, and actions, ensuring I remain true to myself.

For some, success might mean achieving set goals or acquiring wealth and status. For others, it could be finding contentment, making a positive impact on the world, or mastering a work-life balance. Ultimately, success is subjective and should align with one’s values and life’s purpose.

This definition is also an experiment. It might change in the future, but for now, it feels right.

The same goes for the Creative Bites newsletter here on LinkedIn; it remains a wonderful creative playground for me, and it’s an experiment that many of you read (your private messages are proof), with now almost 20K subscribers. I’ll certainly continue writing and creating Creative Bites and co-creating them and other experiments with the AI between my ears, other AI tools and many of you. So this is an invitation.

And since Janina Vinklere labeled me a digital artist, I’m not sure I have any other choice but to continue my creative journey. Speaking of being a digital artist, I envisioned one with MidJourney, and here she is! Now, I just need someone to make that dress for me. 😄

What about you? What’s your definition of success? What are your current and planned experiments?

P.S. If you’re around in Zurich on November 25th, you’ll have a chance to see some of my visual Creative Bites during the Art and Startup Night and Donors Gala. Register here https://swissfintechladies.com/art-and-startup-night/

I can’t wait for this event with Karen Wendt Annika Kessel
