Robert M. LoBue is board member and strategic advisor to investment firms, start-ups, established businesses, and non-profit institutions. He serves on the Board of Directors responsible for financial oversight and strategy review of Gracia Inc., a USA charitable organization mentoring girls at an orphanage school and young women apprentices and employees of Gracia’s Milagros Jewelry non-profit artisan workroom in Jalapa, Guatemala. Gracia’s mission is to economically empower young women in Guatemala to become financially literate, live independently, and stand up for themselves. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Supply Bridge Limited, a Hong Kong registered company offering smart supply chain solutions for global major industries.
Over his 25 year career in international firms, he has been a member of the Management Board in leading global high technology companies, including as Vice President of Communications & Operations at SAP SE, Senior Vice President and CFO of IPC Communications Services Inc. and also of Axil Computer Inc., a subsidiary of Hyundai (now SK Hynix Inc.). At Axil, he established the formal board policies and procedures as Board Member and Corporate Secretary.
Now an Emeritus Professor of ESB Business School at Reutlingen University, Germany, during his tenure from 1999 to 2025 in Reutlingen, he held several offices including Dean of the School of International Business leading the first international accreditation of the school’s top-ranked academic programs. He was Academic Director and Exam Officer of Bachelor, Master and MBA programs and MBA International Programs Officer, where he established exchange and dual-degree partnerships with over a dozen globally ranked partner universities and has been an Adjunct Professor and Honorary Professor at a number of these institutions. From 2008 to 2012, he was on leave of absence working for SAP SE.
He received his Doctorate in International Management from the University of St. Gallen and is Fellow for the Audit Committee function at the International Center for Corporate Governance and Board Foundation in Switzerland. He has authored several academic articles, chapters, and books. He holds a Master of Science from the Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He enjoys free time and travel with his wife and supporting the families of their two adult children and two young grandchildren.
