Sarah Lynn Dawson is a British actress, writer, and filmmaker whose versatile contributions span independent cinema, voice acting, and storytelling across multiple mediums. Born in England’s Lake District and raised partly in Qatar, Dawson began her acting journey at the age of seven in community theatre productions. She later earned a BA Hons Degree in Sociology from the University of Leeds before training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
Dawson’s creative work often blends narrative depth with philosophical and spiritual themes. She wrote and starred in the short film Duality (2015), narrated by Deepak Chopra, which premiered at the HollyShorts Film Festival. She also produced and starred in Unsolved (2015), a 1940s noir short film where she portrayed the LAPD’s first female detective. Expanding into voice acting, Dawson voiced the character of The Mother in the English-language version of the Academy Award-nominated animated film I Lost My Body (2019).
Beyond film, she co-created the podcast Stepping into Shakespeare, offering modern explorations of Shakespeare’s works. A passionate futurist and science fiction enthusiast, Dawson’s interests have led her to projects that engage with cutting-edge scientific exploration, including a visit to CERN in Switzerland as part of her filmmaking research.
Sarah Lynn Dawson continues to develop projects that merge storytelling with broader reflections on humanity’s future, bridging art, philosophy, and science. Learn more here.
