Skyler Farasat, known by her pen name Skye+Fam, is a young author and artist from Fair Oaks, California, whose work gently introduces readers of all ages to Social Emotional Learning (SEL). At just 11 years old, Skyler has already published five books, with the support of her family, that guide children in practicing essential life skills such as gratitude, mindfulness, acceptance, and self-love.

Skyler’s books have resonated deeply with schools, counselors, librarians, parents, and young readers, offering tools for deep breathing, self-esteem building, and embracing life’s imperfections. Her works encourage children to connect with their emotions and navigate challenges with kindness and resilience. Skyler’s illustrations, especially from her book Me and the Universe, celebrate the beauty of positive affirmations and self-discovery, offering solace and inspiration to her growing audience.

Beyond her books, Skyler’s impact extends into her community and beyond. She reads to children at Shriners Children’s Hospitals, FosterHope Sacramento, and Fairytale Town, fostering connections through storytelling. Her contributions have been highlighted in local news and on podcasts like Leaders Who Care®, where she was the youngest leader featured for her commitment to social impact.
