Relaxation techniques

Can you recognize when you’re stressed? Do you practice incorporating relaxation into your daily life? Let’s focus on some proven and relaxation techniques you can do at home.

We’re not talking about binge-watching Netflix or taking long baths, pleasant as they are 😉… but let’s diversify a bit to add some creativity🌈 in our daily routines: ↘

🔽 Tai Chi is a perfect way to slow down your breathing, eliminate distractions and concentrate on the present. It can be a great prelude to practising meditation and mindfulness. ☯

🔽 Art therapy is a great way to relax and escape from everyday life. Plus it boosts your satisfaction as you learn something new. Choose a calming activity like a drawing/painting course. You can also try drawing mandalas: there are many free online tutorials.

🔽 Have you ever tried knotting macramé? This art was popular in the 1970s, and now it is making a big comeback.

🔽 Knitting and crochet – you don’t need to knit sweaters or scarves if you find it boring, you can knit beautiful dresses, or crochet sophisticated shawls, or create beautiful soft toys for kids.

Try out some of these techniques to discover which ones work for you. Make sure they do not annoy you but are relaxing and satisfying.
